Anybody fished Wright Patman lake near Atlanta State Park? The fam is going to be there around spring break and I'm thinking about bringing the kayak for a few days.

I grew up fishing that lake. You should be there just in time to really catch some crappie. You can fish around all the small islands with jigs or minnows. There is also a lot of catfish in the lake and depending on the water temp they should be starting to move up to spawn but the cold weather will probably slow them down. Have fun.

I use to fish the dam during the spring break.. Has SA mentioned catfish will be tough.. April is a better month for catfish..

Check below the dam, fishing might get hot ...hit or miss..
