 Lodging near Lake Athens with safe boat parking

The Subject pretty much says it... A buddy and I are looking for a place to stay near Lake Athens where we can minimize the risk to our tow vehicle and boat. We'd prefer to stay somewhere on the lake with a boat slip, but Athens doesn't appear to offer that unless you're a resident. Appreciate any tips you can offer!

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Athens and had no issues. Very lite parking lot

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Athens and had no issues. Very lite parking lot +1! Probably the best hotel in Athens and once you pull out, take a right, then another right at the stoplight and youre about 5 minutes from the lake!

Looks like a pretty good option judging by the map... Nearby places to eat and a Wally World if we need more Senkos. Thanks for the input!

Every motel parking lot is accessible to thieves. The best thing to do is take every dang thing of value out of your boat. A anti-theft system doesn't hurt either.
