Hello, I'm very new to fishing, caught my first one last year, and was immediately addicted. My family has a dock on lake alvarado, and that is the only place I have caught a fish. Does anyone have any good places I could catch bass without a boat?

welcome I honestly don't have any information to give you, wish I did. But, man, You HAVE found the right place. If you look, there is even a separate forum especially for 'bank fishermen'! I am sure they will give better advice than I ever could.
There are MANY fishermen w/ and w/o boats who will go out of their way to help.
God Bless...'never give up'!!!

Every lake has its secrets.. Become good at techniques..Learn that sometimes its about when to use those techniques, not how good you think you are at the technique..Beat the fish..Not the angler next to you.. Become a part time biologist..Soak up every bit of material, experience you can get..Water time is the great equalizer..

Thanks guys. I think once I actually catch my first fish on artificial bait, I will have the confidence I need to figure it out on my own. maybe I can find an easy stocked pond somewhere to get me started. Thanks again.
