Had a busy weekend of trips. Here is whats happening down here at CC Lake. This weekend the temp was 51 degrees mid lake. In the back of the creek arms I found 60 degrees. Our lake is still about 5ft low, although last night we got 1.25 inches and the creeks are slowly bringing in some new water.
Saturday morning the bite was awesome on white bass. We started at 7:00 AM and it didnt take long and we had our limits. Our afternoon trip started off slow. We moved around to 3-4 spots and finally on our fifth spot we rounded up about 40-50 white bass. We didnt catch any legal hybrids that trip. All fish caught on baits from www.Moestackleshop.com & www.constantpursuitoutfitters.com

We also ran a catfish trip that afternoon. It was a great trip. They landed two over 30 pounds, about 6 in the mid teens, and many more smaller ones.

Great job, Chuck! Did you head back to your dock around 10:30 Saturday morning? I was out harassing crappie and thought I saw you go by.

Log Cabin is the best choice.

I was in a white 18 1/2 foot Triton aluminum.

I was out again yesterday, but it was a lot tougher bite for me. I only caught 5 crappie. I was thinking that on such a dark day, I should have been out chasing the hybrids.

I was out there but we were chasing white bass & hybrids. It was a great day but it slowed down when the wind switched. I'll be out Tuesday & Wednesday Assuming my customers can drive here with it sleeting. He has already called and wants to go. I'm game!

The crappie generally show up in good numbers when the main lake hits about 55 degrees for a couple of days. Its been 51-54 degrees for over a month. I've only seen upper 50's and low 60's last week in the creeks. It wont be too long.

That's just what I was thinking, that another week a warm weather would get it started. The fish I've caught the last two weeks really looked ready to spawn. But now we get this cold week.
