I really enjoyed listening to him. His insight and passion for bass fishing is top notch.

I agree.

Once the top water column reaches 39 degrees, it will sink and be replaced with warmer water.

Spidahoppa, you should learn the art of listening before you speak, won son.

Doug was simply pointing out that KVD gave up some frigid water info unknown to many. Hence, the "wish he'd keep his trap shut".

i thought it was common sense. Anyone who has any knowledge of fishing should know that.

Nope. You're just way ahead of the curve, apparently.

I think his point was at 39 surface temp will be indicative of water that is the same temp top to bottom....

Wow, I truly find it strange that every fisherman wouldn't know that. Apparently a lot of fisherman didn't pay attention in school. Lol

Anyways, sorry about earlier. I truly thought he was saying KVD didn't know what he was talking about

pretty sure he knows way way more about fishing than you do sir. How many BASS wins, classics, AOY do you have? Lol

Doug's comment was made in humor, hence the "lol". Obviously it went right over your head.
oh I'm sorry. I edited it for you

How 3 little letters (that don't even spell anything) can change the delivery so drastically.

Now, let's all just have a big group hug.

Used to be a product called a color selector that Jimmy Houston promoted that had a cable that you lowered into the water where you could get a temperature reading at various depths if I remember correctly.

Don't need a Color-C-Lector to do this...just visit your local pet store and check out their assortment of digital temperature gauges for fish tanks. Add a little lead to the cable and you're a water-temp genius in no time!

Well that water density stuff is very interesting. All I know is my bones don't take the cold as well as they used to.
