Been a long time since I went bank stomping on the Trinity below Lewisville dam. Filled many a basket up there.

that place was legendary back in the day
aint been there in over 40 years
used to just ketch everything you could imagine in the river below the dam
we would do sandbass runs and drag the stringer out with the car
what fun 2 at a time for hours and hours
the channel cats downstream were prolific as well
what fun that used to be
made us a monster mud slide down by them railroad tracks
got so popular that the local tv folks did a segment on it
then it got overrun with folks and we had to move on to greener pastures
sure was a fun spot back then
biggest spotted bass I ever seen alive a man ketched down there
tried to tell what he had ....STATE RECORD for sure
easily over 6 lbs without a doubt
he argued till he left it was a largemouth
and took it home to eat it
man what a fish that was

and now I have the ss ghost minnow to go check that area out
