Currently the lake is sitting at 12.65 feet low, clear, with the water temperature holding at around the 55-degree mark. Fish are being caught in different parts of the lake with the better bite coming in creek channel bends and at the end of long points that push into deep water. Some of the spawning flats on the lake are beginning to see a little activity, but for the most part the fish are still holding in deeper water. Baits that seem to be working best are soft plastics in greens and browns or smaller crankbaits in natural colors. Another good choice is a Jig in the 3/8oz. size. Whichever bait you choose, the key is to fish them slow. Good luck, be safe on the water and always wear your PFD.

The fishing is definately picking up , averaging 3-8 fish per trip, but I'll be damned if I can get a quality bite, it's mostly dinks.
