I am looking to maybe hit the brazos below whitney this weekend. I know it will be somewhat windy. Does that make a difference on that part of the river? I was not sure if it is blocked by winds at all. How is sandbass and bass fishing this time of year there? I will be kayaking there.Any help is appreciated. JP

The river is positioned low between the terrain and wind is mostly blocked. I would drop in at either Dicks or the county rd that intersects the river just north of Dicks and fish a mile or two stretch of river. Not sure about the sandbass but there are LMB, SMB and cats in the river.
You might get more info posting in the kayak section of TFF.
