Hello everyone.

Our Spring Fishing Classic is underway, and next weekend Matt Scotch (BPS Kayak Pro Staffer) will be in our store for a few scheduled seminars. This is a really great opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with one of the most consistent tournament anglers in our sport. Please feel free to drop by and pick his brain.

Grapevine Bass Pro Shops
Saturday February 14
Sunday February 15

Matt will arrive at the store at 12:00pm each day, and conduct a scheduled seminar at 4:00pm by our large tank/waterfall.

Again, there will be plenty of time to hang out with Matt and ask him questions. This will be a really great chance for beginners to cut down the learning curve, and Matt is more than capable of helping the advanced angler as well.

Hope everyone is doing well and catching some fish.

If you're in the area I highly recommend that you make one or both of these. Matt is a fine young man and quite the bass and crappie fisherman. You won't be disappointed!

Just a quick edit: Matt is going to come in a little earlier each day.

He will be there at noon, conduct his seminar at 4, and stick around for a while to chat if anyone wants to visit.

I just happened to be there at the right time today and got to hear Matt Scotch talk about kayak fishing. Man, I'm glad I did. He knows a ton about fishing, and he's happy to share what he knows with anyone. I learned a few new things about bass and crappie fishing and bait and gear selection which are useful for any fisherman whether fishing from a boat, the bank, or from a kayak. The schedule said he will be doing the same kayak fishing seminar again on Sunday (2/16) at 4pm. Get out there and learn a thing or two from this sharp young man.

Thanks for coming out guys! I enjoyed talking to everyone yesterday and answering any questions I could about our North Texas fisheries, tournaments, and just kayaks in general. I'll be back out at Bass Pro today at noon, feel free to walk up and ask me anything.

Just want to add a very hearty "well done" for the job Matt did in his presentation on Sunday. Although the yak didn't make it in the water on Sunday, Matt did a great job fielding questions on a wide range of topics from the typical "yak questions" to questions about safety and yak friendly waters to fishing related species and technique specific questions.
