Thought it was my ADD, it does load slow the older models.

I agree with using both. Especially running a new lake or lake that is several feet low. The lake master with lake level offset is a must. The Navionics chip normally stays in the bow unit for deep structure fishing details. I do switch from one to the other depending on the lake and type of fishing.

I do hunt, and I do fish, and I don't apologize to anybody for hunting and fishing.

I just got a Lakemaster and like it so far. It loads a lot slower in my 997 than navionics does though.

We were at Toledo Bend last weekend and saw this boat in Hausen Bay. We couldn't figure what the heck this guy was doing at first. The first time we saw him driving around he kept going through groups of coots. We thought he just didn't like them or something because he kept zig-zagging through them. When he go close, I was able to see the Lakemaster decal on the side of the boat and realized what he was doing. Hausen Bay has a LOT of stumps! I bet that boat gets beat to death.

I love my lakemaster chips, but noticed on some lakes the contour lines are a bit off sometimes. Other than that, they're good to go.
