 power pole wireless buttons backwards?

i bought a new power pole on friday and installed it on saturday. i bought the new switches to go with it and when i tried to pair them with the pump they both worked as down buttons. anyone have any idea why it would do that? anyone with the same problem?

Is it possible you wired it backwards?

negative. called jl marine and they explained to me that they had a batch of buttons that went out programed wrong. they sent me replacements the same day. awesome customer service.
