True, but in the mean time, sure does limit the number of lakes and spots I/you/we can fish. I would love to fish Lake Bridgeport but man, I don't know the lake and until it gets a LOT more water, I just can't risk damage to the only bass boat I'll ever have.
God Bless

DFW lakes will never be the same.

Even if a hurricane parked over us and filled them all up, how many people move to north Texas every day? How many new homes and business are being completed daily?

Even if we had "normal" rainfall from here on out we are using more and more every day.

Warmer months are coming soon... Make sure your sprinkler systems are up to par fellas...gotta keep that grass green right?

Now is a good time to check all that "submerged" lumber on your boat docks. But make sure you put a UV protection on it so it doesn't get a bad sunburn!

Surrounding lakes here are at 100% full or above full and some are releasing as creeks are full with more rain coming today/tomorrow.....

Somerville
Conroe
Limestone
Livingston
Rayburn
Houston County
Raven
Gibbons
and other area self sufficient Power Plant Lakes.

Great spawn conditions with best grass seen in years.

Time to build our state's future reservoirs/cities where it actually rains!

The last lakes to be made were in the early 90s. Texas population was 16M people. Today the population is 26M and growing. So the ones who say "it will fill back up, it always does", must think that we will receive 35% more rain than what is considered normal to keep up (and more as we get more populated).

Saying "NEVER" in regards to Mother Nature usually makes one eat their words.

Yeah, my opa used to stay quiet when everybody started complaining about how bad the drought was, when would it rain again, why things were so bad. Finally someone would ask him what he thought.

"It'll rain again. It always does."

He was a lifelong rancher in Mason county.
