Fished timber, and corp piles, tried shallow and deep. Got 1 bite and missed it, probably wasn't even a crappie.

Don't be to hard on yourself. RR is tough late winter early spring for me to. It kicked my tail last spring until the water temp hit 58. After that I started doing pretty well.

Im right there with you. Did manage a few bass but couldnt find the crappie. Saw some some guys in the marina tearing them up.

I pulled through the marina a couple of weeks ago and tossed into some empty slips with no luck. I don't have the heart to toss into a slip I think is brushed unless it's empty, even though is never damage any property. Joe, what areas did you target for the spawn?

I fished the same place today on RR's where I caught fish yesterday. I didn't even get a bite. I can at least see the bright side, it's Valentine's Day and I have a wife that let me go fishing.

Corp piles on RR are normally overfished. Either way we have all been skunked at least once! Keep your head up its all part of the crappie fishing game.

What has changed? I went thru there about 2 weeks ago with my 17.5ft tracker.
