So, I went to a local (here in Oklahoma City) antique shop I hadn't been to before, and found me some pretty cool old fishing stuff. I didn't intend to buy fishing stuff, but it seemed to find me. I found an old Airex Bache Brown Mastereel model 3 for $12. Then I found an old no-name spinning rod with a fly reel on it for $10. I also found an old aluminum frame wood slat chair with a side table with 4 built in rod holes for $16 for the set. The chair is great shape, looks almost new, the table needs some wood reconditioning, but still in great working order. The rod is what is throwing me. It's all old, so to me it all goes together But I'm curious about the age or anything on the rod. It's got no factory marks other than a serial number on it. It's beautiful to me, with the wood handle and cork in such great shape. I'm almost afraid to use it because I know it won't stay that pretty lol. I was hoping maybe somebody might recognize it though, and perhaps point me to some further information on it. If it's only worth $5, I don't care, as it's still pretty, but I hope it matches the age of the reel. That would be awesome. I did a quick google image search for wood handle spinning rods, but didn't find very much. Any info would be appreciated *edit* It also seems to be a one piece rod. I'm not sure why it has the area before the first eye, but it doesn't seem to separate there.

Way to go...now you've got me wanting to scour the pawn shops and antique stores for fishing gear. I already did that on my guitar stuff.

I think I got lucky with finding this antique shop. Their prices were very reasonable for what they had. I got a real turtle shell with real skin funny looking banjo thing for $6, an 70's-ish coleman 1 gallon thermos thing for $7, an aluminum with wood slat chair and matching table with 4 holes in it (I'm saying they're rod holders) for $16 total. All in all, was a pretty good day
