I bought a new 2013 four stroke F115 yamaha in 2013. I took it back to the dealer the first year for maintance. oil change and all the checks. It was about 350.00. I usually do all my own work so I thought that was a little high. I would like to just maintain it myself but alot of the things on the maintaince chart calls for the dealer to check or certified yamaha service. Will it effect my warranty if i just do it myself?

It is best not to chance it until warranty is out.

Thanks gary. I see what you're saying. It's just a tough bill to swallow for a oil, filter change and some inspections. Haha

Call Yamaha ask what documentation required to support warranty for "do it yourself" scheduled maintenance. My guess is parts receipts.

I plan on an authorized dealer maintaining my 2013 F70 until the warranty runs out. If something happens to it I don't want any issues with warranty coverage. Once the warranty runs out I'll be taking care of it myself.
