Just wondering if anyone had ordered any of these cakes from Crappie King and had any reports? The only report I've seen is the one with Okiebob. Just wondering if this is the real deal or if it's too early to tell...

Looking forward to your report.
I know green lights bring bait fish to a slip. It would be nice if these worked to keep them there when the lights are turned off.

My opinion is mixed, I'm not sure what to think yet. Last week on Lake Hugo, we were skunked until Greg showed up and went out with us. After a few miunutes on one brush pile we had baited and were not getting bit, Greg crumbled up some crappie cakes and tossed them in the water. About 3 minutes later we caught our first fish and proceeded to boat three more in short order. Was it the crappie cakes? I don't know. We had reports from others saying the bite didn't start until about the same time that afternoon. So, was it the cakes or just that we hit it at the same time? This was on Lake Hugo in OK and this happened on the fourth day of our trip. We had marked fish everywhere we went. Lots of fish. But, we had been skunked for the first three days and on the forth day until Greg showed up. My opinion right now it that I don't think they can hurt but, I'm not positive they help either. They are worth a try.

We should have some more field data soon... we are getting the cakes out there as fast as we can ... Frankly I was skeptical about the bite stimulator part as well. This is the first year that I'm actually sprinkling it in the water. It's worked on three out of four on the trips I've used it in this manner. All three trips we bingo in less than three minutes.. I'm either the luckiest human being on the planet or I'm really on to something.
This is my theory.... When we sprinkle this aroma/scent/food on a brush pile, the baitfish and minnows that are Just chilling on the brush pile get excited and start swimming around to eat. It's like putting fish food in an aquarium. When the crappie see the baitfish become active.. It triggers a bite response from them. This is the best I can come up with ...as I say this is the first year I've used it in this way.
Good luck good fishing and most of all good catching CK

The guy said he would send me some and never did as of 2/14/2015 that was 3 weeks ago. He`s probably busy. I read OkieBob`s post that there were none caught until his friend showed up and they caught three fish, but others caught them at the same time in different areas. I believe if they are going to bite it`s more about the feeding times caused by the moon.

I read OkieBob`s post that there were none caught until his friend showed up and they caught three fish, but others caught them at the same time in different areas. I believe if they are going to bite it`s more about the feeding times caused by the moon. Not exactly what I said. Dennis and I had fished for 3 consecutive days, along with about 30 other guys. No one had caught any fish until the evening of the third day when one guy hit a honey hole...none of the rest of us had still not caught anything over three days. On the forth day, until late afternoon, it had been a repeat of the previous 3, not even a bite until Crappie King showed up. We picked him up at the marina, went to the same brushpile we had fished all four days. W e fished it exactly the same way for maybe 20 minutes when CK threw out the bait. Within 3 minutes we started catching. So, the question is, was it just the timing or was it the crappie cakes? My mind tells me it was just a coincidence but, it sure was impressive how things changed so fast after throwing out the crappie cakes! I'm saying, buy some and try it for yourselves.

But will you still use a nibble? That is the question.
