When y'all are drifting for cats do y'all drag your bait or do you keep it just off the bottom?

This is what I do, just another option. If you use the slotted foam pegged float you can remove it and fish this as a slip sinker rig. Good luck.
I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

i will drift & anchor down. i prefer to anchor down. the key to draging or drifting your bait is to drag it VERY slowly. The colder the water the slower you want to drag it. We caught cats dead sticking (not moving the lure) & drifting slowly. set your hooks at different depths will help you find where they r cruising. it makes a big difference. a no roll will often out produce other weights when drift fishing. When they go shallow i will loose the weight and use a slip bobber at the right depth. good luck
