Never fished around Houston but will be there for some time. Where can a newly go? TIA

I have the same problem. I dont really want to fish salt. In fact I'm looking for creeks and small rivers with good access. Im located near Cypress myself. Come on fellas. Help a yakker out.

Good access within the city limits and good fishing don't usually go hand in hand in this area. There is some creek/bayou access where you can find smaller fish to chase but for good fishing head to the lakes and bays.
Also check out Texaskayakfisherman.com as those guys seem to be more Houston based fishing.
