Has anyone been down to Denton Creek off 377 this year? I haven't been by to see whether there are cars parked there yet. This is normally the time they're good if the rapids are flowing. Thanks for any info.

Normally?
The new normal (last 3-4 years or so) is not flowing... more like rocks, ripple, trickle..
Don't think they can make it from the lake to the creek...again this year. Cars are probably mountain bikers, hikers, etc.

Normal time of year if there is water.
I asked because I hadnt been by there until this morning. Obviously you haven't been by there either because anyone with white body with pink headed jig was catching them pretty steady.
Thanks, Phish!

Went on 2/11. Put in at Trophy Club Park and made my way back toward the lake. Very shallow in some spots like 1 foot or less. Fished for 2 hours or so and came up empty handed. Plan on trying again soon.

You got a mouse in your pocket, Gilbert? I don't recall you weighing in before today. You were there with me in spirit I guess.

I don't know who you guys are kidding.. I've been tearing the Sandies and craps a new one. I have caught them every where this year and last. Even when the water was down. Mostly crappies at Lousiana point, but Sandies over at Red feather and viper point. It's been slower compared to 5 years ago, but you gotta fish em.
Anyone had any luck at squirrelly bend or hog island? Supposedly they are catchin smallies back there?
Best fishes, AC
