Lucky, Your a great company man. But I am telling you exactly what one of your coworkers told me in the aisle during the Chatterbait rush. Save your ra ra rhetoric for stuff you actually know.
It's not hard to believe that some employees know of upcoming sales and hit em hard. BPS was my store until that gem of a confession. Heck I live 4 miles from it, it was my store of choice.
Now ,like I said earlier, BPS can choke on it!
Save the spin response, it's useless!!

I am also an assoitate at bass pro shops. There are many times I tryed to pick up a sell item or something in demand as a Chatter bait, and I cannot get out of the department with out being yelled at. I cannot speak for all bass pros, but the one in grapevine does not "Hoard" things. The reason that we are out of stock all the time is because the Idots (yes I said it, Idots) up at corprate will over advertise an item and either send just a few or send None! Then, We are the ones getting yelled at, and getting accused of "Hoarding" lures from customers.

Tahoe, I would not be so adament about "hoarding" if I did't hear from an associate on the floor.
It appears you and Lucky play fair. Talk to loss prevention, set up a sting, find the bad apple, you have got one there, or I would not be tracking through all kinds of traffic and silly people to get to Academy... believe me.

Actually funny you say that, I am now a part of Loss Prevention. I would like to know who this person is. Is there anyway you can decribe this person? I have a good idea who it might me though.

~Too many other stores match prices now days to get bent out of shape over someone "hoarding" a bait. ~I will be there tonight to get a crankin reel specifically for the DD-22's. Thanks for the gear ratio Larry. I am tryin to get it down in that range. I know WalMart had a couple also on clearance that were low gear ratios... a little comparitive shopping to do tonight.
BTW~ West Marine in Lake Worth has some Lucky Craft baits.... just take the sale ad in with you.. they match sale prices.

Tahoe, Disclose a potential internal theft problem on the open internet? Where other BPS employees post and surf? Surely you Jest? The cat now may already be out of the bag..., get with your LP Manager, maybe an investigator and come up with a plan of your own.

now I am really confused..First you talked about people hoarding baits, and now, you are speaking of internal theft. I am a bit confussed, either way, I will keep my eyes open for this "internal theft" issue that seems to have taken place.

Great program they got going on.
They can choke on it for all I care. first youre talking about one associate and then you end with they and their program? fm, employees were probably buying them too, not for re-sale on ebay, but cause the sale is cheaper than they can get them at a discount. sounds like a few could use some TOW

Let me jump back in here.
The 2 employees I heard talking about it both said they just got paid and had some extra money. The both said, I can't believe they are selling them this low. Both of them made comments as to which lake and under what conditions they would use the baits. Neither of them said or mentioned or hinted anything about reselling the items on eBay, that was my "speculation" but everything about their conversation was that they planned to use the baits and were just as excited about getting them at such a discount as I was.
Even if they did choose to sell them on eBay, why would that turn anyone off about Bass Pro? The thought crossed my mind that I should buy the entire stock then resell them. Would you be upset with Bass Pro if I did? Why would I be any different than an employee? This was at lunch time. These guys didnt didnt sneak in early and hoard any sale items. They were shoppers on their own time. They saw a deal and bought, just like I did. I think Bass Pro should be applauded for running a great sale. I got a bunch (ok a big bunch) of baits I wouldnt have bought otherwise. Hooray for Bass Pro. Sounds like this heat has got to a sombody here. He needs to chill.

I just wish I could have gotten a few for myself. I know I would have bought more than I needed.

By the way, I think we are still innocent until proven guilty in this nation. Unless someone snuck something in on me and I didn't see it.
I never saw if anyone responded to if you can make a purchase online for the same price. I guess I'll have to call the 800 number.

STAY AWAY FROM THE REEL COUNTER!!! I went in to buy a cranking reel.. maybe spend $79 on the upper end... WELL! Walked out with a Johnny Moris reel 5.2:1.... It WAS on sale... thats my story and I am sticking to it.. I saved money on it! Actually my fiance was with me and she said.. "Get the good one.... you dont want to lose a big fish!" Thats just another one of the reasons I am marrying her!!
