Good luck! Its all on feel and sensitivity. Took me about 10 rods before I finally found the one I really like!

I just got a 6'10" Medium drop shot rod from Lance and Brion at Impulse fishing rods. I love it so far.

I have a GLoomis GLX 853s. It's basically a 7'1" M/MH. Spinning rod. I use a 2500 size reel and 20lb braid. It's almost too sensitive. Haha. I bought a 852s and it was too light for me. I sold it one week after I bought it. But, I also use the GLX for small jigs and weightless plastics too.

Dobyns Champion Spinning I love the 701 SF. To me, there is no better rod for the price point. You want something sensitive, with a soft tip, and preferably light. This rod has all you need
