had starter problems right off the bat with the new SS GHOST MINNOW
right when I picked up the paddle my starter locked right up

and to say it takes a lot of paddling to make it go
well that's just an understatement for sure
and then add some wind ....oh my

so here is the fishy story ......
got the old/new to me Gibsons 10 foot SS GHOST MINNOW ready for the water

note the scratches right under the logo
I would almost swear one looks like a GHOST MINNOW

toss appropriate gear into said beast ....

didn't have the time to put on electronics
guess we go at em blind ?
kinda an ole school can you ketch a crappie without all the fancy equipment gig
well to be sure the first fish to find its way to us
WAS FOR SURE not a crappie !
we took 2 dozen minnows in the ghost minnow
and I set 2 over the side when we stopped paddling
a few seconds later "something" tries to take me and my rod over the side !!!

lasted a second till it straightened out my sickle hook like a sewing needle
my bud sez well I don't know what the heck that was
but FOR SURE WE DIDNT NEED IT in this little boat

we agree and continue to try to ketch a crappie
next fish ...NOT A CRAPPIE as well

but as the day progressed we DID in fact find some crappie

sure was fun playing like kids in that little thing
we will do it again soon I am sure
fish were in 12 or so foot of water
had to guess a bit on that part
not on structure we could feel with jigs though
NOTHING except the first bite hit a minner yesterday
did damage a few lips though
and released em to swim on
KABOOM

and yes if I was so inclined that there BLACK CRAPPIE pictured above was ...
YET ANOTHER LAKE RECORD !!!!

KA DA DA DA BING BANG BOOOOOOOOOM !!!!
