Water in cedar creek was off color, visibility was less than a foot with a light flow. Fished all the holes possible all the way to four mile creek with not a single bite.

The question about water clarity remains a mystery. Guess I'll know tomorrow when I go.

I'm thinking of going to Newmans Bottom during the week. I feel a sick day coming on. keep us posted fishytx. good luck to you.

Went out to Newman yesterday and the parking lot was full and then some. saw a couple good stringers and a lot with no fish. I had 4 younger boys with me so we didn't stay long. Yeah we started at nails creek, then cedar creek caught one white, then to Newman and I was getting low on lures by then.lol

Hit Irwin this morning around 8. Several vehicles there. Was was still off color and flowing, but starting to slow. Lots of folks coming out empty handed. Went down quite a ways and didn't get any bites. Met fishytx on the way out. Great talking with you Doug, hope to see you out there again.

I'd hoped to make it out there today, but work got in the way.

Caught only 2 today. One at Irwins bridge and one at newmans bottom. Went upstream at both areas. Chartreuse was color working for me

Meant I went downstream. I'm tired. Lots of walking today

Between three of us we caught close to a limit. Nice size fish, I was happy. We found our bite in the deeper water around Irwin bridge. Slow rolling it close to the bottom was the ticket for us. One white went just a little over 16 inches. Bunch of 14 inch fish. Saw two bowfins caught, several gaspers, and a big slab crappie. Over all, I met several people today and I had fun. I would say we all had fun. Beautiful weather, few fish pulling like a tank, met some new friends, it doesn't get much better. I'll be back on Wednesday. Tied up Monday and Tuesday. If I didn't have stuff to do, I wouldn't skip those two days, but I don't have a choice.
Nice to meet you Andy. Wish you guys could have stayed for a few more minutes. Right there by the parking lot where we were parked was were all the action took place. Oh well, we will get em good next trip. At least I caught enough for a good fish fry.
