Sunday morning 7am launch from sycamore bend park. Paddle up hickory creek looking for crappie /sandies.

I took my son down the trails by Old Alton Bridge this morning at 7 am. We didn't catch anything. There we no other fisherman in sight. They are probably staging at the mouth of the creeks. Good luck.

Let me know how you did. I've always wanted to try that area but never knew that Park was there. How long of a paddle is that to the creek?

Marked a lot of fish. Nothing really biting yet. Water was almost 51 degrees. Hoping this coming week will change things. Threw the cast net in a few times from the yak and pulled up lots of shad. The channel is really close to there. It takes maybe 15 minutes to get to the 2499 bridge from where we put in at.
