Just purchased a ranger 521c from cabelas in Fort worth, sales guy was great. Service walked me through everything. Smooth and easy purchase. The best part was, they didn't try to jack me around on my trade like BPS did. If in Fort worth John Laub was the sales guy very good and knowledgeable. I had same reservations but could not be happier.

Buy where you can get what you want for the best price. Have your boat serviced where you can get the best warranty and other service. Those two places don't have to be the same.

Got mine there as it was the closest Stratos dealer and Stratos had the right boat for my family at the right price. Robert Brumit runs service in Allen and his guys done great job maintaining my boat. I believe Robert ran service at Phil Dil before cabelas. Easy and convenient living in McKinney. Brice is good a guy and has been the longest as far as sales. Tim in service is certified Merc yahama and rude mechanic the last time I asked. They treat me right. Nothing bad say only good.
I am very confident the next boat I buy will be a skeeter. Can't beat it if you live in DFW or near fork. The owners tournament is great event and the guys at fun n sun actually fish. The guys at cabelas as far as know are not dedicated fishermen. Plus Mr Gilbert gives back to the local fishing community more than anyone I know. Hopefully I win the powerball!

You need to find the thread on a recent nightmare purchase from there.

Just do you research. Katy BPS has an excellent rigger and a good certified merc mechanic.

I have a cabelas 20 miles from my house. My next boat I'm considering driving 500miles to get at a private dealership. What happens if cabelas drops ranger? They going to still be able to work on it?

Especially now that that Bass Pro bought Ranger, Stratos and Triton back in December.
