I'm looking to take a trip to Colorado or Wyoming this summer...probably a week long trip in late June or early July. Any advice or recommendations on outfitters, guides, accommodations, etc? I'm trying to do some research, but it's always nice to get some first hand knowledge from TFF'ers. Thanks in advance!

Your timing may be unfortunate. Unless you hit a good tailwater, you will likely be in the middle of runoff. Peter Breeden is a new TFF Member and he guides out of Lake City, CO in the summer. You may want to PM him.
Personally, I like the Arkansas river and tributaries that time of year. Canon City or Salida, CO. If the main river is high, the tribs are full of fish.
Good luck

Also pays to put all the places that catch your eye together that time of year. After you have a group look at the snow pack at each the deeper the snow pack the longer runoff is going to take to level off. I love southern Colorado the week after Fourth of July crowds die down and with a little leg work you can find fantastic fishing somewhere. When I take off that way I try and hit a river or lake every day. We camp so we fish till the evening cook pack up and drive to the next spot and set up. The itenerary is always flexible hit a day and it's lights out May be there a few days. I have had some great circles of the Rockies doing this. Just don't forget to take some pictures to share and enjoy the amazing surroundings. Like golfer Jeff said if the big rivers are blown out use your legs and hit the tribs often a short hike you will find solitude and often fish way bigger than the water they are in. There are some fantastic cutthroat streams that have been rotenoned to eradicate non natives (rainbows and browns) you find pure cutts most are not big but never high flows and they are very willing to bite. Always great to catch the native fish. I'm sure more will chime in but my .02 is you can't go wrong just have a good time.

We are doing the same at the end of July. Basing out of Leadville going to hit the Arkansas, Frying Pan, Cottenwood, Grape, Brushy Creek and a few to be named. A good forest service map will give you all the roads, creeks and lakes you can fish in a month of Sundays. Enjoy.

Runoff is not a universal statewide event that starts and then stops on x date and in large part you are only talking about the major rivers. Unless it rains heavily, the thousands of feeders rarely get blown out. Have a plan, a back up plan and a back up back up plan. Stay mobile, adaptable and have fun.

If you crave big fish on the dry fly try Spinney Mtn res. Mid June-Sept is prime for site fishin 20"++ bows cruisin the shoreline and casting to the rings. Big drys --damsels, hoppers, and beetles draw explosive strikes along with the callibaetis and caddis hatches.. The S Platte tailwaters are also a good choice..
North park --Delanney Buttes -- offer the same action for big browns and cutts.
