My wife and I were going to a football game in Starkville and checked into a hotel in Jackson at around midnight one night. They had a chain link fence with barbed wire (or razor wire, I don't remember which) surrounding the entire property. Still...we got up and checked out before 5:00 the next morning.

I am pretty sure we stayed in Ridgeland when we fished Ross Barnett years ago. It may have been the Red Roof Inn. Parking was difficult and we carried our batteries to our room to charge them.
