Looking for a room and would like my stuff and my body to make it home in one piece. Does anyone have a lead on a good place? Looks like cabins are non-existent and can't find a 5th wheel to rent as well. Thanks in advance for any tips

In your boat. Anchored at least 200 yards from land?
Hah.

I'm staying at the red roof inn. Gonna be fun. It got a 3.6 out of 6 stars! Lol.

Stayed in Jackson once , never again . I would stay on the outskirts someplace and drive a Lil further . Try to avoid ending up on the first 48 ,"shots ring out "

Madison and Ridgeland area is where I stayed and it's very nice and safe. I am staying with a friend but there should be some hotels in that area. It's about 15 miles from where the tournament will launch.

I have a ton of family in the Jackson area.....do yourself a favor and stay EAST of I-55.....the Bass Pro Shops is in Pearl and is a nice area....you could go a few more minutes east and go to Brandon. Pretty safe/Clean there as well.

Good luck!

I have been running out to Jackson twice a week for a couple years now for work. I go into all the surrounding areas as well. Pearl definitely is your better bet being couple miles east of town. Stay away from Jackson for sure.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Ridgeland or Madison Along I-55, Pearl or Brandon along I-20. Bass Pro Shop is along I-20 in Pearl.

As said before not in Jackson. Good luck.

It's like most places in that you have to know where and where not to go.

Thanks to everyone. My next challenge is finding a place that's nice that has electrical hookups..., so far I'm 0-7 and the women at the front desk act like I'm asking them how to build a rocket when I ask if they have electrical outlets in the parking lot......

Red roof inn and econo lodge in Ridgeland do have boat charging. I know one other does too, just can't remember the name of it right now. Just gotta bring the extension cords.

sometimes I think its easy to pull the batteries and charge in the room...seems like nowhere has outlets outside, and if the do its a gamble that parking spot will remain available.
