Green or white road runners

Is it worth the drive form San Antonio? I have the same boat as you FishFearMe, incase I run into you out there.

im in sa also. fishings always worth the drive. no way to tell if we get on them though, i know you wont if you dont try

people must be reading this, it was packed today, even a thorough inspection by the game warden, haha, cant touch me, i was too legit. hehe
managed 35 in 4 hrs.

Airport is tough fishing. 8 hours managed only 30 whites 8 crappie 2 goo. Worked up river about 1 mile hard. Caught all fish in one hole when they went on a frenzy. One hour long fire. Otherwise dead.
Probably missed ten threw back ten small ones.

Is it just me or is this the best white run on the Nueces in years? Based on this thread and many on Facebook here in SA. I really hope to hit it next year!

Next year's run will really be good if the lake can somehow stay at the level it's at or ideally, go up about 5 feet. It's over 8 foot low right now and can easily lose a foot per month in the summer, so need some major rain in the watershed this spring.

Don't wait for next year, go now! Next year it may be dried up like it was recently.

Can't go now, boat is down, and my back is out. Can't even barely get around the house right now...

We went Monday. They are still there. Caught 27-good ones and about 60 to 80 small ones we threw back. Did not do well on the rattle trap or SR5, caught them on a Strike King KVD 1.0 sexy shad.
