I cleaned up my '94 F250 to sell it. Going to the mechanic to repair an electric window motor, the truck broke down. Had to pay $55 tow fee to go 100 yards. (you can't steer this thing w/o power) The mechanic said the problem was a spacer plate between the engine and transmission that the starter mounts to. He didn't have the equip. to remove the trans.

I had it towed to a trans. shop that I have used before.($65 this time)
They are trying to find the part and so am I.

I'm asking the "wise OT" for help to do some research.

Ford part# E3TZ6A369A. It is discontinued by manufacturer. All Ford dealers database shows none in inventory.

INFO: 1994 Ford F-250 Extended Cab, 4x4, A/T, 7.3L Turbo Diesel(not powerstroke)
VIN: 1FTHX26K3RKA53019
This is a early '94 model.(thats important because the use of that part was no longer used)

I'm told that '83-Early '94, F-series trucks and some E-series van models are the same part. I hope someone here that is wise in research can help me with this problem, I don't want to junk this thing because of this one part.

Thanks in advance and I hope someone can help me out.

Posted in OT also.

Thanks for reply Tom.

The transmission shop is doing that. I have health and disabilities that prevents me from crawling under trucks.

Thanks again.

"Rockauto $48 to $85"--chuchu1

Thanks chuchu1 for response....but it's not flexplate. It's the spacer plate for the starter.

Thanks to you also 97fordnut.

I've had no luck finding the part...still searching.

I did a little more research and that is one weird part. Seems to be a lot of them .....in Russia! Found one possible in the USA.

It says "call for availability" in that link ChuChu1. I have access at work to check other dealers inventories and no one in the U.S. shows to stock that part.

it's not transmission specific as long as its off the 6.9/7.3 international, there's one on ebay for 50 bucks, if this link works

That's a good point! Didnt even think about international being a solution. $40 for shipping on that is a tad ridiculous though unless it weighs about 100 lbs.

it's about 1 inch thick cast iron so it does have a little weight but for under a hundred it's not a bad deal, that ford diesel engine is international, just hope it helps
