I know they're banned in some events and I know some guys hate them, but that doesn't change that some of us still love them! Love it or hate it the Alabama Rig is here to stay, at least for fun fishing. We decided to sit down and take another look at these awesome baits because of all the refinements and improvements that have been made the last few years. There are so many aspects of the rigs that have been fine-tuned to different situations... we're not throwing bent coat hangers anymore. The subtle improvements over the last 2-4 years have completely changed the rig's effectiveness.
If you still throw the rig I'd love to hear how you've fine-tuned your equipment over the last couple years.
For me, the advent of rigs with multiple thicknesses of wire has been the greatest improvement. The amount of flow and movement I can get from a rig with ultralight teaser wires is amazing! Anyway, I hope this helps someone and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks! On the surface I think we've all had enough of the A-rig discussions but there are so many recent changes I felt it was worth bringing it back to the forefront.

I still haven't caught one yet but will keep throwing, just started using one for striper also
