Hardley found water. Still havent caught a single fish out of this lake. It seems like i cant find deep enough water from the shore. Does anyone want to toss me some advice? Me and my 5yr old drive 125 miles each way to come out here. Thank you, danny

Believe it or not they have been in skinny water . fish a wind blown point or shore line, with the wind in your face with structure and fresh bait something will grab on.

From the bank , fish the point off of anchors inn you can reach alittle deeper water there and there is plenty of shore line and you can park really close to where your fishing....

I live on this lake and catch Catfish just about every time that I try. Here's my tip: Like Mickeyp said, you need to get your bait in a little deeper water. On decent weather winter days, they should easily be in 2-6 fow. I use waders and just wade out to about knee deep or maybe a little more, and cast from there.Sometimes, when the waves aren't too bad, I just use my rubber boots. Or you can get some of those cheapie plastic waders. Those trees, in the background of your pic are full of good fish. There were guys, last Wed., near that area, catching multiple monsters. I use Danny King's blood flavor punch bait(Walmart) and Tawakoni cats love it.(disclaimer: this is NOT a "best bait" debate) Nothing special, but here's my catch from last Sun.: Here's my catch from the Sunday before last: p.s. smallest fish in pics was 14.5 inches. Biggest was 5lbs, didn't measure it's length.

These guys have you headed in the right direction. But you need fresh shad or go to the asian market in arlington and buy you a buffalo or goo fish and have fresh cut bait. If you wanna catch bigger fish. Most guys only use prepared baits If they wanna catch channel cats or small blues

True, I target eaters. But I still occasionally get a biggun.

Funny you mentioned the asian market. We stopped there and got bait before we went
