Hey guys, I have a 1996 200 venom johnsonrude; I went to buy 2 cycle oil today and noticed the label said for small to medium engines. Does this mean that the oil is no longer good for large motors? or is this just a misprinted label?

When I checked, XD30 was recommended for all carbed motors....supposed to meet TCW3 specs.

Don't know the brand you were looking at but the OEM oils can be used for any size motor. Some have special oil for some of the larger hp motors.

I was looking at the label on the OEM Evinrude oil...I'm hoping it was just a misprint on the label...

Which Evinrude 2 cycle motor oil are you referring to?
Not all Evinrude motor oils can be used in all motors.

I have a 1998 Johnson 200.
I found out the same people that make Cabelas oil make it for Enivrude/Johnson.
So I been using Cabelas and haven't had a issue so far. about a year now.

You can run either the XD-30 or XD-50.
