2009 Triton 19X3 with Merc 225 Pro XS, Fury 25P and 8 inch Jack. Prop to pad is about about 3.5 inches.
What is the best starting point for this set up? I hit 69 the other day with full tank of gas at around 6K RPM. But, I am getting some prop blowout on takeoff. No plugs.
What should be my starting prop to pad height for this boat? I am not looking to be the fastest boat on the lake. I want the most stable 65 plus I can get. Is there a better prop?
Someone mentioned that a Tempest would possibly be better for these heavier boats.

on the length boat you have the fury is a good prop.
i've been slightly modifying the fury to eliminate that blowout
and also helps the midrange and top end some too.
basic mod on the fury starts at 80.00 with no polishing.
