This is exactly why I quit letting people fish in my ponds here. Dove hunters too.

I saw who was doing it this summer on Lewisville, and they weren't US citizens. They were also standing in 5ft of water, throwing a cast net, and raping the lake of crappie. I called the Game Warden, and he was way out in the country somewhere and couldn't make it there soon enough so all we could do was sit there and watch. There were about 8 illegals total, 2 throwing the nets, and then throwing the fish up on the bank where the others were bagging them up. Trash was everywhere.

Unfortunately, though it's not all fishermen or outdoorsmen. You have to remember these creeks are all spillways/floodways (or whatever you want to call them) and that trash could be from several miles away. Doesn't make it any better, but all we can really do is continue to clean it up ourselves and call people out when you see it. I've had to tell friends to pick their [censored] up or they weren't coming out with me again.
