I'm trying to swing a trip to Texoma tomorrow but may only have time for a RH afternoon trip. Wind is on the way for Sat/Sun so it may be a windsurf weekend.
Good luck

I wish I was RonC. Too much work to get done. I'll be out there in spirit!

Can't make it Friday, but I plan on being on the water Saturday. I can't decide whether morning or afternoon is going to be best, sounds like afternoon is the trick. Post a report back and let us know how you did. Thanks

Fair warning that I should be on Hubbard Saturday as well. I'll be in my buddies 17' xPress. I say fair warning because usually when he and I get on that lake, the wind blows 100MPH straight down the guts of the lake. Except for the one time that it was blowing 35MPH out of the south and then whipped around from the north at around 50MPH and rained cats and dogs with an incredible lightning storm. We beached his boat on shore over by the red barn and watched sandbass & hybrids surface 300 yards out in that cove there and cussed the entire time. You can't say I didn't warn ya.

Were you catching them or watching them soacing in tears? Oh no. We were much too scared to get out amidst the lightning crashing all around us. We just sat, soaked to the bone, watching fish leap out of the air and land like somone was dropping bowling balls into the lake.

Going to Texoma Fri, but if you want to catch'em start on the east side by Chandlers and look for the birds. I missed out on about 60 mins of good action Wed. Stayed too long south by the dam.
Good Luck

Until then, you guys can catch'em.

I'll be replacing the water pump on my Evinrude this weekend. At least I'll be working on it right on the lakefront so I'll be able to watch you guys haulin' 'em in! Good luck.

My wife and I spanked them last night from 5:00-5:30 She caught her 1st 5 lb. hybrid with several 4 lber's mixed in. Wonderful sunset, no wind, and hardly any boats! Chartruese slabs by Nolan were the ticket. I caught a few but nothing like my wife! Everything was released to fight another day.
