I fish Benbrook a lot but have never fished it really for cats. Gonna start but also wondering if there is any other good spots on other lakes around for nice cats.

Eagle Mountain, Grapevine Lake, Lake Arlington, Joe Pool, Trinity River.

Lake Worth and Mountain Creek Lake are loaded with catfish. Just don't eat'em. There is a consumption advisory on eating fish from both lakes. PCB contamination.

There is no fish in Benbrook... Lake Worth is the best!!!

Benbrook has exactly 17 Blue Cats ranging from 3 lbs to 49.5 lbs so it's hard to find them even tho the Lake is so small.

Alvarado lake is a secret honey hole. Especially during the summer. If you have a boat, you can drift fish with shrimp and catch them all night long. If you don't have a boat, I have caught many flattys and blues just off the ramp with LARGE shad and perch. Good luck!
