Thanks Tiny & Salsa for all the fish finder information. I decided to get the 899 w/ SIde imaging would love to have gotten a bigger one but this was a large enough purchase for me. Well I'm excited and ready to figure this unit out . Good luck fishing y'all

just be sure to stake some fish out on a weighted rope with the fish above the weight about a foot and jug on the surface so that you can see what the fish look like with your unit set out to about 50 ft on both sides and have an sd chip in your unit to take a snapshot by hitting mark button and that way you can refer back to the pic of the fish on your side imaging ... do it with scaley fish also so you can tell the difference ... won't take long to get rid of the saved photos because with experience you'll know what you're looking at
