Fishing in 33 fow and no bites. Drift over to 30 fow and bingo. When you catch a nice fish on Lake of the Pines keep it low to the water and get it in your cooler as sly as possible. If you pull it up high out of the water and sling it in the boat you just as well to have shot off a flare. I like company but you can only get so many boats in one hole of water.

That's sad but so true bush hog. This time of year you just have to learn to get in there and bump heads with the rest of them. That craziness will all be over the end of February. Then things will calm down and get back to normal. Nice mess of fish!

Guess I will never fish LOP if it means I must become rude and obnoxious or put up with those who are rude and obnoxious.

My grandfather taught me to fish many, many years ago. He believed you should never get within ten feet of somebody bank fishing or casting distance of anybody boat fishing. If they got the spot first you should leave the spot to them and go find your own spot.

When somebody started crowding him when they saw him catching fish he would start casting and tangling their lines. He stated if they were so ignorant that they were going to ruin his fishing by crowding him he would ruin their fishing by keeping them busy untangling lines.

Nice catch. I was out there today also. I kept away form the pack, but there wasn't as many boats as usual. Over all I thought people were better on how they moved around. But I wasn't catching many crappie (4) only a lot of yellow bass.

Nice catch Bush Hog , you never know by just moving a few feet will make a difference. 10-4 on keeping them low , I had to use the dip net on a couple the other day and that brought several boats over real close .

I didn't mean to imply that folks were being rude. Everyone seemed very friendly but with everyone drift fishing in that small area it was hard to concentrate on the bite for having to watch out for boats. Now if I was sitting on a brush pile I might feel a little differently about it. Anyway it was fun and I look forward to going back this spring.
