I'm looking at buying this boat and was wanting some feedback/advice on running the big Verado on a bass boat.

I run a Z521c with a 250 Verado Pro. Awesome engine. Excellent holeshot even with 2 12ft. Talons. The weight difference is a non issue. Remember you eliminate the hydraulic steering setup and the 2cycle oil and resevoir. Apples to apples the Verado is 65 lbs. heavier;but the torque you gain very much offsets that. With the dts shifter you have the option of using the hotfoot or the hand trottle.I've had 9 Pro XS's-great engine but the Verado is strong. And remember you have virtually no power loss in hot weather with the supercharged engine verses a naturally aspirated engine.I'll guarantee 95% of people who have a negative opinion of the Verado have never been in a boat with one on it. The Verado Pro is not the same as the original engine.

I'm running 70 to 72 mph fully loaded. Just me and my tackle 2/3 fuel 74mph plus. Running a Bravo FS 26p with 2 vents half open,2 closed. Will turn over the rev limiter loaded.(6400rpm). Got a 27p Bravo and a 27p Pro Max coming. I think I can easily gain 1.5 mph.

Can't go wrong with any mercury motor But for bass fishermen a ProXs is top of the line on a bass boat
