Another good choice for bass.. this is a fly that mimics a little sunfish taking bugs off the surface..

Fly flingers, The first 2015 ISS Ranch fly & tie is on the schedule for Saturday January 31st 10am to 4pm at the lake house next to Lake Antone. This is a potluck lunch/dinner affair with fly tying in the lake house and fishing all day at any of the three lakes on the ranch. Bring your favorite dish, snacks and drinks enough to share. We will be tying, working on fly gear, making furled leaders and shooting the bull all day long. $10 per member/family for the lake house rental (10am-4pm-ish) $10 per member/family for those fishing the lakes (all day) For those who intend to fish we need to thin out the crappie and so we will have a fish fry at the end of the day.. No pressure but if we dont catch fish we might not eat fish Since we have the lake house for the day the weather isnt a show stopper.. we will still meet, eat and tie. This is a family friendly sort of event so bring your better half and the kids.. no dogs please.. cats are OK if they swim.. PM me if you need more info

Excellent video Ben!!! Lake Antoine has really expanded. The fishing was much better on Saturday with that south wind. I see if was out of the west when you started. But I suspect it was a NNW wind by the time you finished fishing. I have just about given up on pond fishing when the wind is out of the north.

yep.. the wind was shifting to the north and seems to make the fish lockjaw until it settles in and returns to a southern flow..

I think you would like something like this. I tied it up today it's a shuffled fly, when its stripped it dives down and wobbles like a crank bait. It's just a piece of craft foam measured to the hook point. Super weedless and super wobbly maybe those big bass you're after might find it appetizing here is just a rough attempt at the idea
