I just can't see myself using this type of fly. It's bad enough being hit in the back by a size 10 beadhead nymph. I'd incapacitate myself.

http://www.texastackle.com/pliers.htmBest split ring pliers made. Voted best in the Bass Section over and over again. Also the bigger the spinner the more "lift" it puts on the fly....smaller blades will allow it to go deeper. Larger blades cause it to rise. I hope that helps in your selection. Sometimes you want to above the grass and other times you want it deep. So many options!!

Thank Moon, I got all of my materials for the spinning clouser (or spinster) from Barlows, including the pliers.
