OP 68camino Outdoorsman 6 Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 157	Hey guys so I have been advised to try Lake Bardwell out for blue cats. I have never been to that lake so can anyone give me any advise on where to start and what to use? I actually have never fished for blue cats before so I am new to all of this.

I've caught a bunch of smaller channel cats there around the dam during the summer but never tried this time of year. I plan to make it out there tomorrow but have no clue where to start. Probably just do a bunch of drifting and see what happens.

Also I was there 4 weeks ago just to look around and they were dropping Christmas trees so maybe you can catch some crappie. It's a great day because I'm not 6 feet under.

clydeg Outdoorsman C Joined: May 2006 Posts: 46 Midlothian, Tx	Fished today from about 9am-2pm all over the lake using punch bait and shad. Caught 1 small channel cat on punch bait. Water temp was 49 at the dam and 55 at the upper end.
