 i was gar fishing the other day on the buffalo bayou and came across this mean looking dude he was none to happy to see me about 4 foot of fury

Not to mention the stench! You pick 'em up like that and they let loose with the musk glands.

Looks like a cottonmouth. They are full of bad attitude. Definitely . See the pit between the eye and nostril ? Never had much trouble out of 'em but never tried to pick one up , either .

yeah ive been into snakes since about the age of 9 one of my sub hobbies...... below fishing of course and yall r right when it comes to the stench they definatley funk up the joint

When I was a teenager living in New Orleans, my next door neighbor and I used to go to the swamps across the river and catch moccasins and sell them to a guy who milked them for their venom.
