They may have already done this I do not know because I am not following the story that close. I believe a couple of hot heads came together but because it happened during an event that BASS was hosting they should take control. As for as what I would do DQ and probation with a strong warning that if any physical contact is ever made again it will come with a long term ban.

How do you know they are sweeping it under the rug? They are simply not releasing a statement on what the punishment is to those not affected by the actions directly. They may have very well addressed it between the two anglers and the powers that be. Personally I wish more drama and BS was kept off the internet and social media. We as fans do not need to know every little blip that happens in these organizations.

If Ish was white this wouldn't be as big of a deal to some people. Since he is an outspoken African-American, and somewhat on the boisterous side, he rubs some the wrong way and they are happy he is in trouble. Ish just wrote an article a few days prior about his sponsors and ensuring he is the right type of guy that represents his sponsor's products well. He is probably going to pay for this on some level through his wallet. Some sponsors may not want to be associated with him after this incident, which is sad because the guy can fish and we all make mistakes. To me this incident is over and done with, and what happens to them is none of my business, and frankly (snicker) I don't care.

I mean if you are gonna play the what if game you gotta look at the WHOLE picture and not cherry pick it all.

That didn't happen. You deal with the facts not the "what ifs" when looking at the WHOLE picture. You make a good firefighter but a horrible cop. Would you be ticketing people for "what ifs" when you pull them over? grin

I would have a boxing match and sell tickets. Also try to get it on the outdoor channel.

Will be more interesting to see, what, if anything their sponsors decide to do. That's who ultimately pays these guys. And obviously Ish more than Pouche. Remember what happen to Ike after his melt down? Bass slapped his hand, his sponsors slapped his bank account.

Exactly. I haven't heard anyone make comments about race. Why do people constantly have to insinuate that race has to be a factor in things? Where are these people who don't like him because he is Africa-American? I haven't seen anyone state that.

I don't watch tournaments and am not involved in them. Other than Kevin Vandam, I couldn't name one other professional angler. I had never heard of Ish before this incident was posted in the forums. I could really care less about the incident or what they do about it. That said, is it my business as to what they do? If I wanted to know then definitely it is. They don't have a bass tournament organization just because they want to give away money to people. They operate it as a business to make money off of the fans. The Pros don't get sponsors because the sponsor just wants to give someone money to enjoy a hobby of fishing for free. They sponsor to get their name out there as advertising to the fans with the sole purpose of recouping that money and much, much more. It is a type of advertising. Once you attach your name either as an organization or a sponsor and put it out for me to get me to watch and spend my money, you have a responsibility to show me what kind of organization you are so that I know whether I want to support you or not do business with you.

The Classic can't come soon enough. They were DQ'd for the event and publicly humiliated which they both deserved. Nothing further is needed. Race card, really?

They are professionals they will be punished, and like stated sponsors may take more than b.a.s.s ever dreamed. I don't want it to start looking like nascar out there or deflate gate. As long as we know they were disciplined I don't care what it was. I think being able to fish for a living is a true blessing. Don't like the very few of the new generation that have been brought up in the outdoors even seeing it.
