I'm looking to get a poll from some guys on having our college fundraiser event the ASU Open tournament in March. Would you like to see it at Ivie or Amistad? And how many guys and gals would show up? It would be a one day event and $100 a team. Pay back depends on boats, 1 place for every 5 boats and we pay back 80%.
Tell me what you think?

I'd fish it at Ivie. It's just a lot closer for us Midland/Odessa folks. And there have been fewer open tourneys at Ivie in recent years because of water levels, so I'd like to see some come back now that the ramps are in decent shape.

I'd say Ivie. As long as there isn't any major scheduling conflicts you pick up a lot of the Brownwood/Abilene/central Texas guys

With Ivie being so low, it is fishing very small. Amistad would be a better venue.
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

At least at ivie you stand the chance of catching a good one, amistad you stand the chance of catching a fish, i guess, if your lucky,.

Yeah! Just fish Nasworthy. Didn't they change the size limit to 13" and under? At least maybe you can weigh in a dink. Doesn't look that much better anywhere else in West Texas. Maybe if TPWD sees there are tournaments on Nasworthy, they will stock it maybe? Yeah right!

I don't think there is any guarantee will be able to launch after Feb on Ivie from what I heard. There with be some catchable fish shallow on Amistad by late March. Bud Light has a Del Rio division and their Amistad events pretty much draw the most participants of all their divisions across the state. They recently took a poll who wanted to go to Ivie and almost no one raised their hands.

March - Amistad should be better. Not going to BLT at Ivie in Feb.

Those of yall passing on Ivie are making a mistake. I love Amistad as much as the next guy but Ivie in March is as good as anywhere in the state. Heck Ivie in February is as good as anywhere in the state.
