I am interested in doing an ad trade for some service work on a Chevy truck. It would help a great deal if someone from the forum could put me in touch with the right person to talk to about it. Our advertisers are receiving around 850,000 impressions a month.

Thanks in advance for your help!

JP

Call Dan Briles with Moritz Cadillac. He is my service manager and I bet he might make a deal. Tell him Ronnie Manning told you to call him. If not- I am a fully certified GM tech and have my Master ASE cert also. I can fix anything.

Thanks guys.

Ronnie - I called Dan and he gave me someone else to call at the "Chevy Store" - I guess that is another dealer they own.

What would really help me is someone that can get with the contact and let them know that I am going to call, and give the person a little heads up as to what our group is all about. The dealers get constant calls from people wanting to set up ad deals, and a foot in the door goes a long way.

HighTech Redneck - I'll give Buz Post a call today.

Thanks again for the help!

Ronnie--Since you are a certified GM mechanic, I have a question for you. Have you had any problems with the 2003 Z-71 transmission? Mine sure shifts hard from time to time and makes a fairly loud clicking noise when it shifts up, almost like a loose u-joint but I have checked and they seem OK. Only have 15k miles on it. The dealer said it was the slip yoak making the noise, but I don't think so. Furthermore, I had some other people tell me they were having problems with their trans.

Thanks-Matt

There is a nickel plated slip yoke that helps with the clunk. The shift hard problem would have to be looked at with a scanner. The yoke would just take care of the clunk when gears shift or engage. sounds like there may be a valve hanging in the valve body. I think there is an updated valve body for your application. You can do a search online for GM Bulletins/updates. May take awhile- but I know it's out there.
