Hey what's the best gps/graph under a 1000? Just wanting to get some opinons. I was looking at an Eagle 500c or lorwarance 332c. But let me know if you think there is a better one out there.

The new 797c2si from Humminbird will be right at $1000. This is a 640v Pixel High Definition Curved Color Screen, GPS Mapping, Dual Beam Plus 2D Sonar, and Side Imaging Sonar. If current units the 777c2 or 787c2 are right there with the 797c2si just less options. Feature for Feature for value you really need to look at Humminbird now - they taking big marketshare gains in the highend market.

Just a question??? Why would you need a $1000 graph??? In saltwater just get a duel frequency transducer that will penetrate to 1000 feet. For that much money you can add a NICE stand-alone chartfinder, and a seperate graph, or a combo unit that includes a surface temperature reading, and GPS.

I would go for the Lowrance 337c....about $800 or there abouts.

However if you dont think you REALLY need color......then Lowrance LMS 480 at about $600 should work just fine.

Thanks guys. Why do I need a 1000 dollar graph who knows. Why do I need a 50,000 dollar boat when a 1000 dollar boat will do the same thing.

The 797c2si gives you all the features you listed in one product. GPS with Mapping, Water Temp, DualBeam Plus sonar (Dual Frequency), High Definition Color Screen, 1500 Foot Depth Capabilities, 4000 Watts 2D PtoP Power, PLUS Side Imaging Sonar that will show you everything under the water in one quick pass. I mean everything structure, fish, cover, you name it you can see it. Why would you want to clutter your boat up with more units when you can do everything with one unit. If you really want the "Ultimate" the 997c gives you all this in a 8" screen but it's $2000.
