Headed to corpus the end of this month. Not going to have a boat just do a little bank fishing. Never fished down there this time of year. Just wanting some tips on where to fish, what's biting, and baits and techniques. I will be in Robstown visiting friends. Any help would be appreciated

Dropping a fishbites/dead shrimp combo on a double drop rig in any of the channels will get you some black drum this time of year.

GBN posted some simple effective advice. Piers off the channels or the surf if its not too rough can be the easiest fishing this time of year. Surf can find you reds, drum, whiting, Sheepshead, croaker, and even Pompano.

Sheepies should also be hanging around bay/channel structures; jetties, pilings, etc. Consider the cold front scheduled for Sunday evening when panning where to fish.

Good Luck!
