I've fished that lake over a hundred days over the last 15 years and never been skunked!! No wind? Started in 25' in the trees then went to the bank throwing shallow and still not a bite, and I'm a good guy that takes care of his family, employees and customers like they would want in a dream. Quite humbling!

Can let Twok get ya down ,was there last Wednesday and caught easily 400 lbs of fish, went back Saturday and struggled to catch 30 lbs and set and watched boats all around us just slay them. It's just how she treats us.
Catch and release into the grease!

Brutal..it didn't help that my motor decided to not run today. I broke a coil taking the cover off to jump start er and think I need a carb job. Wouldn't stay running without a little help from the juice. I'll fix it. I have a troling motor though and was in the trees a mile from the ramp. Can't say I didn't try

In my opinion you didn't fish deep enough and you fished too shallow next trip out depending on conditions ofcourse but try 35 to 45 ft and if you decide to go shallow try a mid range before you go all the way shallow 5 to 10 ft timber .

Hey man I was the guy you talked too on the bank I didn't get a bite at all there for 3 hours, i had fished a different spot for 2 hours before that with nothing either. Then moved around the corner a ways and caught 10 in one hour! With the warmer weather it has them on the run chasing the spread out shad! Definitely not a real great day yesterday! I'm glad you made it back ok with the trolling motor! When you get that boat going again, maybe one day we can go catch some beast! I'll pay for gas, launch etc... Tight lines buddy! You will get em next time!

Quite humbling! Just face it we were there Friday and Saturday. was up there last year and missed the big bite by a few weeks so we decided that we would come back this year when the big bite was on again. Everyone sees Tom and salsa drawout catching monsters so everyone comes up to catch them then get disappointed when they don't. Personally I'm not going to pay someone to put me on big fish. But no offense to the ones that do. I will come back when I learn more on my finder. Tom and all them do this every day hat's off those guys.

From watching tourneys and just weekend fishing, on an average day one out of five boats will get on fish. Therefore give yourself five trips to learn the lake s little. Not saying that the first trip you won't get a monster, cause if you have a hook with meat on it at any given time you might latch on to that fish of a lifetime!!!

guys, just because it's wet where you were doesn't mean there's fish there. you must develop those fish finding skills else it'll be hit and miss your whole life. It's easy to find fish this time of year and all you need is a good gps map of the contour of the lake and a good fish finder and you're all set. A good way is to look on the gps map for a river or creek channel or both and look where they come together and check it out with your electronics ... that's as easy as it gets ... if you don't have the afore mentioned items then you'll need them if you want to be consistant at catching fish every time you go. if you're just going out and saying "this looks like a likely spot" and you sit there for hours thinking the fish re there and you just need to figure out what they'll bite on then you're doing it wrong. If you go catch shad and keep them alive until you cut them and then locate the fish you'll catch fish every time you go out this time of year and lots of them.
